Ice Dodo Wiki

Overview[]

"Maps made by Jay (Currently Retired from mapmaking) - in-game description (when hovering over the cup's icon) Jay Cup is one of the older cups, with the creator, Jay, going inactive somewhere around the time Ice Dodo v7 was introduced. Jay Cup is listed as the 4th cup in the game. There are a total of 12 maps in the cup, ranging from difficulty 3 to 6. Its skin is a green plaid-looking pattern and it will be unlocked upon full completion of the cup.

Fun Facts[]

Jay Cup is the second-smallest Creator Cup, tied with Dodo Cup, both clocking in at twelve maps each. The shortest map is Rytai Cup presented by the fabled <Rytai3.

Jay was one of the few mapmakers to use specular/ground/ambient/diffuse colouring in maps such as Speedrunner, Stratosphere, and Rust.

Jay was also one of the few mapmakers to get a cup while the requirement was to have only 10 maps. Since then, the requirement has been changed to fifteen, and recently to twenty.

Jay was also infamous for coming up with extremely bizzare map names, such as Caik (which was actually named by TimTam) and Vindicated.

There used to be a map called Spider in Jay Cup, which was originally difficulty 8, before it was moved to Vault Cup and reduced to difficulty 6.

There were a few suggestions to turn Jay Cup into a Community Cup because Jay was inactive and there were so few maps in the cup to begin with. The aftermath of this suggestion is unknown as it was brought forward before the discord server got nuked, and it is now lost to history. It was, however, probably rejected as Jay Cup is not a Community Cup (yet).

Difficulty 3: Equilibrium, Speedrunner, Geyser, and Aurora.
